This site is dedicated to the Class 52 Western diesel locomotive. The site contains images of Westerns running on British Rail and in preservation. There is a 'New' page where I will change the images from time to time with other Class 52 photographs from my collection. A few details of the class are included and I have indulged myself a little with a page dedicated to D1052 Western Viceroy, my own personal class 52 locomotive.
Some of the details which accompany the images have been compiled with the help of the book 'Cast of Thousands' by Adrian Curtis, a must for all Western followers.
I hope the images will bring back memories of the magnificent Westerns and that you enjoy your visit.
